Corporate governance shall be the foundation that will enable Northshore Apparel to achieve its corporate mission. Hence a strong governance system shall be put in place to ensure that our business activities meet local laws and regulations, and that we act in accordance with professional and ethical standards to achieve sustained, healthy and long-term growth and impact.
Our governance framework shall integrate processes and structures implemented by the board to inform, direct, manage, and monitor the activities of the organization toward the achievement of its objectives. At the core of our governance structure is a strong, effective, and qualified board of directors, who shall be committed to maintaining rigorous corporate governance, sound internal controls, and a structured risk management framework to earn the confidence of our employees, customers, and the community
Very experienced hands in the apparel and financed industry in Ghana are tapped to manage and implement this project. The team is made up of an accomplished men and woman who made significant strides in both the apparel and finance industry in Ghana.

nurideen mohammed
Nurideen Mohammed has experience in apparel, finance, and banking, as well as international development for over 15 years. He currently serves as the Head for Business Development for local and ECOWAS markets for DTRT Apparel limited. He previously served in the role as the Director of Finance and Administration for the same institution. He holds an MSc from the London School of Economics, and other certificate courses and trainings in Risk and Strategic Management, Project Management, and development finance. He is also a fellow of the U.S. Department of State’s premier professional exchange program, International Volunteer Leadership Program (IVLP) on Textile and Apparel. He led the implementation of the USAID West Africa/DTRT funded Ghana Apparel Manufacturing Expansion Global Development Alliance (GAME-GDA) which trained and provided jobs to over 1,500 out-of-school adolescent youth. Prior to joining DTRT, he worked for the Agricultural Development Bank first as the Project Manager at the Development Finance Unit of the bank overseeing developments in both Oil Palm Plantation Small holder projects as well as the Rubber Outgrower Plantation Projects in Ghana. He later served as SME Relationship Manager for the SME Department. He has also previously worked with British Council Ghana office as the Country Programs Supervisor, and coordinated as well as managed the Global exchange programs. Before joining the council, he worked with several international development agencies in the UK serving in various capacities.
Abdul Jaleel Hussein
Abdul Jaleel Hussein is an accomplished banking and finance professional, with over 14 years in the banking sector in Ghana. He is presently the Chief Operating Officer of Affinity Africa Finance Limited. He is the immediate past Head of Commercial Banking and Ag. Head of Agribusiness for Stanbic Bank Ghana Limited, where he spent 9 years. Prior to this role, he held various roles within the bank, including Head of Agriculture and Head of Products between 2012 and 2015. Prior to joining Stanbic Bank, he started his banking career with Standard Chartered Bank, having been recruited onto the bank’s flagship International Graduate Associate Program. The program took him through rotations in various parts of the bank for 2 years. After the program, he took on various roles within risk, credit, and product development, until 2012 when he moved to Stanbic Bank. Prior to banking, Jaleel worked briefly with a cement manufacturing company in Ghana, where he oversaw internal environmental and safety audits; prepared job procedures for technical roles in the company; and was part of a team of two (2) that led the company to achieve ISO14001 certification. Jaleel is also a member of the board of Pesewa One PLC, a publicly listed Ghanaian incubator and venture builder, which has built over 40 businesses so far. He holds a first-class degree in Chemical Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology; an MSc in Development Finance from the University of Ghana; and is a charter holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute. He is passionate about entrepreneurship and spends his spare time coaching and mentoring small businesses in areas of strategy, financial management, and operational efficiencies.
Prof. Abdul-Gafaru Abdulai
Prof. Abdul-Gafaru Abdulai is an Associate Professor in the Department of Public Administration at the University of Ghana Business School, and an Honorary Research Fellow at the Global Development Institute, University of Manchester, UK. He holds an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge, and a PhD in Development Policy and Management from the University of Manchester. He has carried out a series of commissioned research for a number of international development agencies and research institutions, including UNICEF, the World Bank, DFID, UNU-WIDER, the ILO, the Overseas Development Institute (London), and the Effective States and Inclusive Development Research Centre (Manchester). His research focuses on the intersection between politics and development, with particular focus on natural resource governance, spatial inequalities, and social protection. Other research interests include urban governance, public sector reforms, and the politics ‘pockets of effectiveness’ in the global south.
Ms. Habiba Sumani
Ms. Habiba Sumani is currently the Director, Entrepreneurship Development for Ghana Enterprises Agency formerly National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI). Prior to this role, She served as the Director, Women Entrepreneurship Development for eight (8) years for the same institution. She holds a Master of Business Administration (Finance option) from Leicester University, UK and a Master’s Degree in Environment and Development Studies from the University of East Anglia, UK. She has cumulatively over 10 years of post-qualification experience in the various fields spanning from Entrepreneurship Development, Business Development, Gender and Research Design. She also holds a BSc. (Hons.) in Agriculture (with specialisation in Agricultural Economics) from Kwame Nkrumah Univ. of Science and Tech, Ghana and other certificates in the field of Women’s Entrepreneurship Development, Trade in Services, Sustainable Business Management, Gender and Development, Customer Service Management from the UK, Ghana, Japan and China.
ibrahim abdallah
Ibrahim Abdallah is Global Health and Economic policy Management Specialist with over 10 years experience working in the international development sector. He has been actively involved in policy planning and advocacy within the health and social enterprise sectors. He has worked directly in areas of health systems strengthening, Social Enterprise, and healthcare planning and financing in Lower Middle-Income Countries (LMIC) – Ghana, Sierra Leone, Zambia, Tanzania, Senegal, Ethiopia, and Kenya. Ibrahim holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a Master’s in Public Health, and a Master’s of Arts in Economic Policy Management. Ibrahim is also a Programme development, evaluation, and Project Management specialist.
Anthony Boadu
Anthony Boadu is currently the Managing Director for Glico Capital Limited Prior to joining Glico Capital, he had worked for over twelve years in the banking industry as Credit Analyst, Head of Credit Analysis Department and Head of Corporate Department at Bank of Africa and Société Générale Bank, Ghana, where he proved his ability to enhance the operational efficiency, customer experience and ultimately profitability of the banks’ businesses. His areas of expertise include: Business Development; Assessing, Evaluating and Analyzing Credit Risk; Preparing and Presenting Reports, with extensive work experience in Credit Products Development, Environmental & Social Risk Management and Structured Facilities, alongside strong Communication Skills and Team leadership. Anthony is a Chartered Accountant and also holds a Master of Science degree in Economics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST); Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Ghana, Legon as well as Advance Diploma in Business and Accounting, Professional Certificate in Structured International Trade Finance.
Evans Crentsil-Taylor
Evans Crentsil-Taylor is a Certified Accountant with ACCA, a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation Ghana (MCIT) and business development specialist. As a finance professional, he has a wealth of experience in accounting, internal audit, external audit, project audit, tax, financial modeling, business valuation, due diligence, business modeling and business growth strategies. Evans professional experience includes serving as an accountants and finance manager for various entities and working as an external auditor with a local audit firm. He advises several companies and individuals on International Financial Reporting Standards, international tax related issues, business modeling and financial modeling. He possesses immense knowledge and experience of Ghana’s domestic tax laws with a sound understanding of the regulatory regime relating to Ghana’s investment climate, pensions, insurance and banking. Passionate about growing businesses, Evans is committed and dedicated to ensuring that his expertise, knowledge, skills and professionalism are brought to bear in developing Start-ups, SMEs and Multinational institutions into a most successful company whiles safeguarding investors’ interest.
