About Us

Northern Apparel Manufacturing Expansion Development

The northern belt of Ghana is an area which is disproportionately under-developed as compared to other regions within the country. In many regions of the northern belt, the lack of skills and economic opportunities aggravate the situation of many young people with or without post-secondary education. Large portions of the population thus either remain trapped in the declining traditional sector or migrate to the southern urban areas where they experience poor labor market prospects, poor standards of living,  and a rise in criminality.

As a direct response to the above and in line with the Northern Development Authority’s (NDA) strategic anchor projects, a private initiative dubbed Northern Apparel Manufacturing Expansion Development (NAMED) wholly owned by Northshore Apparel Limited is birthed.
